I love letters. fonts. typography.
I have been known to purchase clothing, jewellery, coffee mugs and home decor items just because they have beautiful lettering on them.
Typography was one of my favourite classes when I studied Graphic Design in the early 80's. That was a long time ago when computers where just an idea. I really enjoyed learning how to create beautiful lettering by hand and that skill came in handy when I was getting married. I can still remember doing all of the calligraphy on the invitation envelopes and the escort cards.
Right now, I'm really loving fonts with a handmade script look. I don't know why ... maybe it's because it's getting close to Valentine's day, or maybe it's because I'm working on a number of wedding projects, or maybe it's because I'm inspired by so many of the script fonts I've been pinning from Creative Market.
A lot of people ask me about the fonts that I use in my art and where I get my fonts. My go to source for fonts for the past year has been Creative Market. Their font selection is current, the artists who created the fonts are amazingly creative and helpful and it's very easy to purchase and download the files.
Creative Market has weekly freebies and every once in a while they offer bundle specials that are pretty hard to resist (especially when the bundles include fonts that I've been wanting to add to my collection!).
Here's a collection of some of the handmade script fonts that I have been using lately. I've listed each font by name and you can find the links for all of the fonts below!
Very Berry, Stringfellows, Catalina, Veronia, Melany Lane, Magestra Script, Belluccia, Thankful Script.

What font is the "love letters" is this a creative market font as well??
ReplyDeleteYes! The font I used to create the "love letters" heading is from Creative Market. It's called Stringfellows and the link in the post will take you right to it! I worked with the font in Illustrator so I could take advantage of all of the font extras.
