Is there a skill that you have ever wanted to learn?
Maybe it's the time of year and the fact that my Instagram feed is blowing up with images of beautiful decorative cookies, but I really want to learn how to decorate cookies.
I am hoping that I can take some workshops in the new year but until then I have decided to start learning online by watching Emma's Sweets' YouTube videos.
I have collaborated on styled shoots with Mary from Emma's Sweets and a number of other local bakers over the past few years and I always include some kind of decorated cookies in my mood boards.
Mary has dozens of cookie decorating videos on her YouTube channel and I when I recently heard her say that she started out by watching YouTube videos it made me realize that I don't have to wait until I have time to take classes.
Who knows, maybe this time next year I will be styling a sweet table for the holidays with cookies that I have created! For now I hope that these photos of Mary's cookies will inspire you to maybe think about learning how to decorate cookies as well.

Mary created all of the adorable cookies in this posts using cookie cutters that I designed to match one of my 2017 holiday gift wrapping collections for Creative Bag.
If you are interested in making the cookies like the ones that Mary created for my styled shoot you can find these cookie cutters online at How Sweet Is That.
